They must know not only what the product is, but how many are in stock, in which warehouse, at what price they can sell it, and at what discount it becomes unprofitable… To find all that out they only need to open SYS and look at the full product record.

The system is built so that accounting errors are quite hard to make. The main advantage is that it is not easy to make deliberate errors. So a dishonest employee will find it harder to steal anything…
There are several parallel control mechanisms, for example comparing the turnover report with the delivery-note register. On top of that — a sales report.
